ONE day 50-mile Endurance Ride, 25-mile Limited Distance, 15-mile Conditioning Ride, & 10-mile Introductory Ride
Plus a 5-mile GMHA Members Only No Frills Pleasure Ride
Wrap up your 2026 Endurance & Competitive ride season in Vermont! Vermont trails offer an expansive variety of terrain and widely regarded as one of the best tests of horsemanship known to offer equestrian fitness available today. This weekend’s distances include a 50-mile Endurance, 25-mile Limited Distance ride, a 15-mile conditioning ride, 10-mile Introductory ride and a 5-mile Members only-no-frills pleasure ride. All divisions are duo sanctioned, ECTRA & AERC and will be following ECTRA & AERC rules and regulations. GMHA’s trail rides are registered with the New England Horse & Trail.
Want to step outside your comfort zone and learn more about competitive trail riding and distance riding. This is your opportunity to build knowledge and have fun with your equine partner, and meet new friends in a relaxed friendly and supportive environment.
Pre-registration is required. Only complete entries will be accepted (complete entry form, form of payment, and horse health requirements (Coggins/Flu/Rabies) included).

GMHA requires a negative Coggins and proof of current rabies within one year of event dates. Rabies titers are accepted within one year of event dates and must accompany a note from your veterinarian explaining the reason why the vaccine could not be administered. In addition, vaccinations for influenza and rhinopneumonitis (EHV-1 & EHV-4) within six months of event dates are REQUIRED for each horse that comes on the property. These health documents must be submitted to event management prior to unloading.
Please note that the State of Vermont requires a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within 30 days or Exhibition Permit from the Vermont Agency of Agriculture’s Animal Health office for any horses entering the state. GMHA does not require these documents with entry, but the VT Agency of Agriculture may enforce these regulations at any time.
Horses brought onto GMHA grounds must comply with health regulations established by the State of Vermont and enforced by the Vermont Agency of Agriculture. Health documents must be submitted to event management prior to unloading. In addition, some competitions, clinics, or activities may be governed by external organizations and additional health requirements may apply. GMHA reserves the right to:
Take precautionary measures to prevent disease transmission
Restrict access to the grounds
Require veterinary documentation
GMHA Requires:
Required Health Documentation within one year of event date
Current Negative Coggins test (EIA)
Current Proof of rabies vaccination ( Rabies titers are accepted within one year of event dates and must accompany a note from your veterinarian explaining the reason why the vaccine could not be administered.)

Governing Body Requirements
Certain events or activities at GMHA may be held under the rules of recognized equestrian governing bodies, including but not limited to the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) or American Driving Society (ADS), among others.
When applicable:
Governing body requirements may be more restrictive than GMHA and State of Vermont minimums.
In addition to the requirements set forth by GMHA above, if competing at a sanctioned event at GMHA, please provide proof of the following within six (6) months of event dates:
Proof Equine Influenza Virus vaccination (Flu)
Proof of Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis)
Enforcement & Authority
The Vermont Agency of Agriculture may enforce these regulations at any time
GMHA reserves the right to request documentation, deny entry, or remove horses from the grounds if requirements are not met
Camping is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Plese reserve and enter early.
Due to Woodstock Town Ordinances, camping opportunities on the GMHA grounds are limited. We are allowed camping permits for just a few of our events each year, with a limited number of camping spaces.
Rules:
You must be a GMHA member to reserve a spot. Camping is free.
Camping in the parking lot is prohibited. You will be directed across the bridge or to the Upwey arena area upon check-in.
All campers must be a self-contained unit — NO TENTS.
No campfires or grills.
No water or electricity hook ups.
Running of generators is prohibited.
No dumping of gray water or sewage.
No littering.
No temporary paddocks or tying to trailers — horses must be stabled.
Awnings may only be set-up AFTER all trailers have been parked. Space is limited, it will be cozy!
No loud or disorderly conduct.
Not adhering to the above guidelines or breaking of GMHA Rules will prohibit individuals from future camping.
Juniors may not camp unaccompanied by an adult.
To sign up for camping, you MUST sign the release on your Entry Form.
