Experience the quiet beauty of a Vermont summer from the seat of a carriage as your horse carries you along Vermont’s quiet dirt country roads, and beneath towering maple trees. Mid-summer brings lush green mountains, blooming wildflowers, and sweeping views across Vermont's rural landscape, creating an ideal setting for a leisurely drive. Vermont is known for its scenic countryside, forested hills, and peaceful back roads that invite travelers to slow down and enjoy the journey.
Get your horse warmed up and school professionally designed courses before the Festival of Eventing weekend! Entry to Festival not required. Offering heights from 2'7" to 3'9" (BN through Intermediate).

Horses brought onto GMHA grounds must comply with health regulations established by the State of Vermont and enforced by the Vermont Agency of Agriculture. Health documents must be submitted to event management prior to unloading. In addition, some competitions, clinics, or activities may be governed by external organizations and additional health requirements may apply. GMHA reserves the right to:

Certain events or activities at GMHA may be held under the rules of recognized equestrian governing bodies, including but not limited to the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) or American Driving Society (ADS), among others.

Due to Woodstock Town Ordinances, camping opportunities on the GMHA grounds are limited. We are allowed camping permits for just a few of our events each year, with a limited number of camping spaces.

Enjoy a free community BBQ, live music, games, a Hobby Horse Show, and time with friends, neighbors, riders, alumni, and the GMHA community as we celebrate 100 years of trails, horses, memories, and Vermont tradition. Everyone welcome!
