October Trail Horse Pace & Pleasure Rides

Saturday, October 12, 2024:  Trail Horse Pace

  • Cap off the GMHA Trail Event season with the Trail Horse Pace.  This is the final THP of the season. This ride will give participants an opportunity to learn about navigating trail obstacles through demonstrations and experiences on their own horses.
  • Riders will follow a measured, marked trail loop, with an undisclosed optimum time, learning about trail pace in preparation for trail rides including distance riding.
  • Participants are invited to stay the weekend and join the Pleasure Ride the next day on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
    • Note:  Please choose the Trail Horse Pace or Pleasure Ride for Saturday (you cannot do both on Saturday as they run concurrently).
  • Please enter both events separately.  Entry information for the THP and the Pleasure Ride can be found by clicking the button to the right >>>

Saturday & Sunday, October 12-13, 2024:  Pleasure Rides

  • Enjoy Vermont’s foliage and terrain with our pleasure ride available to those who wish to enjoy the trails at a leisurely pace. Enjoy the fall foliage on a short or long loop option available Saturday & Sunday.
  • Entry details by clicking on the button to the right >>>

Horse Health Requirements

GMHA requires a negative Coggins and proof of rabies vaccination within 12 months for each horse that comes on the property.  Rabies titers are accepted within one year of event date and must accompany a note from your veterinarian explaining the reason why the vaccine could not be administered.

Please note that the State of Vermont requires a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within 30 days or Exhibition Permit from the Vermont Agency of Agriculture’s Animal Health office for any horses entering the state. GMHA does not require these documents with entry, but the VT Agency of Agriculture may enforce these regulations at any time.
