Thursday, August 31

11:00am 100-Mile Riders weigh in and pull for starting positions – Office Porch
12:00pm Lunch meeting for judges, scribes, vetting stewards, manager – Youth Center
2:30pm Inspection of 100-Mile Horses and all those riding the 40 miles on White Ring
1:00pm Arrival & check-in for Pleasure Riders begins
4:00pm Inspections conclude. Ride briefing to follow– Youth Center
6:00pm Dinner on grounds – Woodman’s Pizza truck for competitors & officials.
10:00pm Stables close – all horses competing on Friday must be stabled at GMHA

 

Friday, September 1st

5:00am Stables open
5:30am Coffee and light breakfast in Cafe for all riders & volunteers – served until 9am
6:30am 100/40/Mile horses depart GMHA at two-minute intervals–Far end of White Ring
6:45am 25-mile horses depart.
8:30am 15-mile briefing
8:30am 30-minute hold at Silver Hill
9:00am Pleasure Ride briefing in Youth Center
9:30am 15-mile depart. GMHA
1:20pm Horses begin to return to GMHA, vetting in the White Ring
1:00–3:30pm Lunch at the Youth Center for Riders & Volunteers
3:00pm Inspection of 60/25 -mile horses – White Ring
5:00pm Ride Briefing, 100/60/25 milers – Youth Center
4:00-7:00pm Vermont Horse Country Store open house and corn chowder
10:00pm Stables close – all horses competing on Saturday except the 15-Milers must be stabled
at GMHA

 

Saturday, September 3rd

5:00am Stables open
5:30am Coffee and light breakfast in the Youth Center for all riders & volunteers until
9am
6:30am 100/60/25 -Mile horses depart GMHA at two-minute intervals
7:00am 15-Mile Conditioning Distance Ride inspection – White Ring
8:30am 15-Mile Ride briefing, Youth Center
9:00am 15-Mile horses depart GMHA at two-minute intervals
9:00am Pleasure Ride Briefing
9:30am 15-mile horses depart GMHA at 2 minute intervals
11:30am 15-Mile horses begin to return to GMHA – vetting in the White Ring
12:30pm 100/60-Mile horses begin to return to GMHA – vetting in the White Ring
1:00–3:30pm Lunch at the Youth Center for riders & volunteers
5:00pm Ride Briefing, 100/60/25 milers– Youth Center
5:30-8:00 BBQ to celebrate Landowners and Distance Days Riders
10:00pm Stables close – all horses competing on Sunday must be stabled at GMHA

 

Sunday, September 4th

5:00am Stables open
5:30am Coffee and light breakfast in the Youth Center for riders & volunteers until 9am
6:30am 100/60-Mile horses depart at 2-minute intervals
9:00am Pleasure Ride Briefing
9:30am 100/60 mile begin to return to GMHA – vetting in White Ring
11:30am–1:00pm Rider & volunteer lunch at the Youth Center
1:30pm Awards Ceremony for Distance Days, horses presented in hand or under saddle.
