DESCRIPTION:Competition #300008\nStart your eventing season in Area 1 at GMHA with our rolling XC course and multiple water crossings!  This horse trials will follow the tradition two-day format with Dressage and SJ on Saturday\, and XC on Sunday (subject to change based on entry numbers). \n\nRegister online through www.EventEntries.com on OPENING DAY as this event is very popular in Area 1 \nT\, N\, BN – USEA Recognized & USEF Endorsed \n\nUSEA Membership required for rider & horse at these levels\n\nP\, M – USEA & USEF Recognized \n\nUSEA Membership required for rider & horse at these levels\nUSEF Membership with current SafeSport required for rider\, owner\, & trainer listed on entry form.  Horse does “not” need to have a USEF membership at these levels.\n\nDivisions offered at each level for Open / Rider / Junior \nPlease note:  USEA & USEF competing membership level is required for the competitor\, trainer\, owner\, and this includes parents signing as trainers for youth competitors under age 18. \nAll horses must be microchipped. \n\nMicrochip Rule\nKey Requirements & Details:\n\n\nEffective Date: December 1\, 2026. \nApplies To: All horses competing in USEF-licensed or endorsed shows\, regardless of discipline\, breed\, or level (including Intro/Opportunity). \nChip Type: Must be a 15-digit\, ISO 11784/11785 compliant chip.\nImplantation: Done by a veterinarian (as per state laws) into the nuchal ligament in the neck\, a quick process. \nOwner Responsibility: You must report the 15-digit microchip number to US Equestrian (USEF) for your horse’s record. \nVerification: Show will check that the chip number is on file with USEF before accepting entries.

DESCRIPTION:Pleasure Rides on Saturday and Sunday depart from and return to the GMHA grounds. SUMMARY:Spring Driving Combined Test and Arena Trials
DESCRIPTION:GMHA’s Driving Combined Test CT) and Arena Trials (AT) are modified versions of Combined Driving designed to prepare horse and driver to compete in a full CDE (Combined Driving Event). \nThe Combined Test (CT)\, or Two-Phase\, includes dressage and cones. Scores from each phase are combined. \n\nNEW FOR 2026 – GMHA is pleased to announce that Hannah Polson\, American Driving Society Combined Driving Judge & Technical Delegate is sponsoring a Combined Test Series Champion & Reserve Champion for each of the Training\, Preliminary and Intermediate Divisions at GMHA in 2026!\nDriven Dressage tests are judged similarly to a ridden dressage test\, but in a much larger 40 meter x 80 meter ring. The drivers are required to perform a set of movements which include changes of pace\, circles\, turns\, and extensions\, rein-back\, and halt. Each movement is judged and scores are tallied.\nThe object of cones is to drive through a course of narrowly spaced pairs of cones cleanly within time allowed. Each cone has a ball placed on top\, and any miscalculation will dislodge the ball\, thus incurring a penalty. This phase tests the fitness\, agility and obedience of the horse and the accuracy and skill of the driver.\n\nThe Arena Trials (AT) includes 3 phases: dressage\, cones\, and arena obstacles. Scores from all phases are combined. \n\nArena obstacles were created as a way to practice marathon obstacles without a full cross-country marathon. Two obstacles are set up at either end of an arena\, with a start and finish line across the center of the arena. Obstacles consist of large sturdy obstacles marked with gates\, which drivers must complete in the correct order. Competitors are timed as they drive each obstacle twice. DESCRIPTION:A fun Competitive Trail Ride (CTR) and Conditioning Distance Ride (CDR) to ease into conditioning you and your horse for the 2026 trail riding season. These rides are over  marked courses of scenic\,quiet dirt roads with  few pavement crossings. The Mud Ride is sanctioned by ECTRA with the following distances and recognized by the New England Horse and Trail Association. \n\n25 Miles (CTR)\n15 Miles (CDR)\n10 Miles (CDR)\n5 Mile Pleasure Ride\n\nThis Mud Ride will offer “Day of Entries” with a post entry fee of $30.00 \nIf you are new to competitive trail\, this is a great place to begin your journey into this discipline. Learn more about the sport at www.ectra.orgThe Mud Ride distances are registered with the New England Horse and Trail Association\, sign up forms will be available at the briefing.

Should the weather become a concern\, we will post information here and on social media. \nWeather permitting\, we have rescheduled this event for Sunday\, March 1.
