DESCRIPTION:MID SUMMER TWILIGHT RIDE – SATURDAY\, AUGUST 1st   6-8 pm\nA midsummer twilight ride in Vermont is more than a trail excursion—it is an immersion in Vermont’s natural beauty\, where horse and rider become part of an evening landscape filled with serenity\, timeless charm\, and the magic of a New England summer night. A twilight ride through the countryside of Vermont becomes even more memorable when shared with friends this August. Along the way\, you may come across a word scramble challenge\, celebrating GMHA’s remarkable milestone—100 years of Equestrian history\, tradition\, and community. \nPLEASURE RIDE OR ENDURANCE CLINIC –  SUNDAY AUGUST 2nd\nJoin us for a Pleasure Ride or Recreational Drive on Sunday August 2nd through the open fields bordered by classic stone walls and weathered barns that speak to Vermont’s agricultural heritage. \nOR choose to join us for a unique learning opportunity and sign up for the Endurance Clinic as we celebrate 100 Years of equestrian activities at the Green Mountain Horse Association. Whether you’re new to the sport of Endurance Riding\, this educational clinic will introduce you to the fundamentals of endurance riding from the ground up. Learn about horse and rider preparation\, metabolic conditioning\, veterinary checks\, and the skills needed for a successful endurance ride. To finish is to win! \nParticipants will also discover the rich history and enduring legacy of GMHA’s iconic 100-Mile Ride—a century-old tradition that has challenged and inspired generations of equestrians. SUMMARY:Jumper Schooling Day
DESCRIPTION:Join us for some fun schooling over fences designed by our Festival of Eventing Show Jump Designer\, Chris Barnard.  This is a great opportunity to ride courses you may encounter at sanctioned level horse trials.  Courses will range from Starter\, BN\, N\, T\, M\, P\, I\, & A.  Heights start at 2’3″ and work up to 3’11”.  Eventers\, show jumpers\, and hunters alike are all welcome!  Please note this is a schooling event to allow you to school professionally designed courses only.  No awards will be given.  Sign up for multiple rounds at different heights!  Coggins\, Flu\, Rhino\, and proof of Rabies required. \n\n8:30am START – UPWEY ARENA (Parking on grass at Morgan Hill Road entrance)\n\nSTARTER (2’3″) -8:30am – 9:15am\nBN (2’7″) – 9:30am – 10:30am\nN (2’11”) – 10:45am – 11:30am\nT (3’3″) – 11:45am – 12:30pm\nLUNCH BREAK – Water/Drag 12:30pm – 1:30pm\nM (3’5″) – 1:30pm – 3:30pm\nI (3’9″) – 3:45pm – 4:15pm\nA (3’11”) – 4:30pm – 4:45pm\n\n\n$30 per round.  Scratch/Add rounds allowed at ringside.\nPre-enter by Friday\, July 31st.  Or\, Post-enter ($20 post entry fee applies for entries received after closing date).\nRide Times will “NOT” be assigned!  Please refer to the time schedule above and be ready to ride at the designated times listed for the height/class you sign up for.\nStabling available Wednesday after 3pm at the GMHA Member rate ($45/night)\, or non-member rate ($60/night) only.  If staying on for the Festival Aug HT – additional stabling nights can be added on that entry form.\n\nMust be a current GMHA Member to receive this discount for Wednesday pm only.\nThursday pm stabling would start at the Festival Aug HT rate of $70 per/night for everyone (GMHA member discounting does not apply) and only Festival competitors can continue to stable after the Jumper Schooling Day is over.\n\n\nPlease reach out to event secretary/organizer\, Jill Bogert\, at jill@gmhainc.org for more details.\nPlease fill out entry form/waiver and mail to:  GMHA Jumper Schooling\, PO Box 8\, South Woodstock\, VT  05071.  Or\, email to jill@gmhainc.org
