A twilight ride through the countryside of Vermont becomes even more memorable when shared with friends this August. Along the way\, you may come across a word scramble challenge\, celebrating GMHA’s remarkable milestone—100 years of Equestrian history\, tradition\, and community. \nPLEASURE RIDE OR ENDURANCE CLINIC –  SUNDAY AUGUST 2nd\nJoin us for a Pleasure Ride or Recreational Drive on Sunday August 2nd through the open fields bordered by classic stone walls and weathered barns that speak to Vermont’s agricultural heritage. \nOR choose to join us for a unique learning opportunity and sign up for the Endurance Clinic as we celebrate 100 Years of equestrian activities at the Green Mountain Horse Association. Whether you’re new to the sport of Endurance Riding\, this educational clinic will introduce you to the fundamentals of endurance riding from the ground up. Learn about horse and rider preparation\, metabolic conditioning\, veterinary checks\, and the skills needed for a successful endurance ride. To finish is to win! \nParticipants will also discover the rich history and enduring legacy of GMHA’s iconic 100-Mile Ride—a century-old tradition that has challenged and inspired generations of equestrians. DESCRIPTION:ONE day 50-mile Endurance Ride\, 25-mile Limited Distance\, 15-mile Conditioning Ride\, & 10-mile Introductory Ride \nPlus a 5-mile GMHA Members Only No Frills Pleasure Ride   \nStart you 2026 Endurance & Competitive ride season in Vermont! Vermont trails offer an expansive variety of terrain and widely regarded as one of the best tests of horsemanship known to offer equestrian fitness available today. This weekend’s distances include a 50-mile Endurance\, 25-mile Limited Distance ride\, a 15-mile conditioning ride\, 10-mile Introductory ride and a 5-mile Members only-no-frills pleasure ride. All divisions are duo sanctioned\, ECTRA & AERC and will be following ECTRA & AERC rules and regulations. GMHA’s trail rides are registered with the New England Horse & Trail. \nWant to step outside your comfort zone and learn more about competitive trail riding and distance riding. This is your opportunity to build knowledge and have fun with your equine partner\, and meet new friends in a relaxed friendly and supportive environment. \n\nPre-registration is required. Only complete entries will be accepted (complete entry form\, form of payment\, and horse health requirements (Coggins/Flu/Rabies) included).

SUMMARY:Mud Ride
DESCRIPTION:A fun Competitive Trail Ride (CTR) and Conditioning Distance Ride (CDR) to ease into conditioning you and your horse for the 2026 trail riding season. These rides are over  marked courses of scenic\,quiet dirt roads with  few pavement crossings. The Mud Ride is sanctioned by ECTRA with the following distances and recognized by the New England Horse and Trail Association. \n\n25 Miles (CTR)\n15 Miles (CDR)\n10 Miles (CDR)\n5 Mile Pleasure Ride\n\nThis Mud Ride will offer “Day of Entries” with a post entry fee of $30.00 \nIf you are new to competitive trail\, this is a great place to begin your journey into this discipline.
