Competitive Trail Ride & Drive and Starter Distance Rides

25-Mile CTR&D & 15-Mile CTR&D are both ECTRA & AERC sanctioned. A fun competitive trail ride over a marked course of dirt roads and trails. Or, if you are new to competitive trail riding, the 5-mile Starter Distance Ride is a great place to start!

Spring 50/25-Mile Endurance Ride & 10-Mile Limited Distance Ride

These distances offer a variety of Vermont terrain opportunities for riders to test and gain horsemanship skills with the challenges of hills, woods and fields. Choose a 50-Mile Endurance or 25-Mile Limited distance.  Both are dual sanctioned by AERC & ECTRA.  Interested in finding out if Endurance Riding is right for you? Try out the 10-mile LD ride, a great introduction to the sport in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Pre-registration is requiredOnly complete entries will be accepted (complete entry form, form of payment, and horse health requirements (Coggins/rabies) included).

This ride is registered with New England Horse and Trail.

Camping on the grounds is FREE for current GMHA members.  Not a member?  Become one today at https://gmhainc.org/membership/

Horse Health Requirements

GMHA requires a negative Coggins and proof of rabies vaccination within 12 months for each horse that comes on the property.  Rabies titers are accepted within one year of event date and must accompany a note from your veterinarian explaining the reason why the vaccine could not be administered.

Please note that the State of Vermont requires a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within 30 days or Exhibition Permit from the Vermont Agency of Agriculture’s Animal Health office for any horses entering the state. GMHA does not require these documents with entry, but the VT Agency of Agriculture may enforce these regulations at any time.
