Interested in learning about Distance Trail Riding in a fun, relaxed environment?
Join us for a Starter Distance Ride! The day will feature an hour educational session, learning about the difference between CTR & Endurance, the vetting process, taking your horses P&R, pacing and more. Following the unmounted session will be a mock competitive trail ride. You will be pre-vetted by an experienced judge and then ride out on a 6 mile loop at your own pace and when you return you will be vetted out again. The ride will be followed by lunch and a wrap up session with opportunity for Q&A.
Throughout the season GMHA will offer 3 Starter Distance Rides. Do all 3 and you will be ready for the 15 Mile CDR at GMHA Distance Days!
Entry includes a light breakfast, lunch, educational experience, a 6 mile trail ride and vetting experiences.
